Responsibilities
· Business Development
o Identify and develop new business opportunities through cold calling, referrals, and networking.
o Represent the company at trade shows, marketing events, and client meetings.
o Collaborate with marketing to support promotional campaigns and customer engagement.
· Sales & Account Management
o Manage a portfolio of existing accounts, driving retention and revenue growth.
o Present tailored solutions aligned with customer needs and technical. requirements.
o Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, tenders, and presentations.
o Maintain up-to-date CRM records of sales activity and customer interactions.
· Revenue Planning & Forecasting
â—‹ Analyse customer trends to forecast future demand and contribute to strategic planning.
â—‹ Work closely with internal teams to align on inventory, pricing, and lead time expectations.
· Administration & Financial Control
o Ensure compliance with credit policies, follow up on outstanding accounts.
o Manage documentation including sales contracts, quotes, and reports.
· Continuous Improvement & Compliance
o Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and uphold safety standards.
o Keep informed of competitor activity and market shifts to inform sales strategies.
Skills & Experience Required
· Tertiary qualifications in engineering, business, or a related discipline (preferred).
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial or capital equipment sales.
· Proven success in meeting sales targets and driving customer engagement.
· Strong presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
· Ability to understand technical concepts and align them with business value.
· Competent with CRM systems and sales forecasting.
· High level of professionalism, integrity, and customer focus.
