Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with the executive leadership team, you’ll play a pivotal role in guiding financial decision-making and ensuring the business is well-positioned for scalable, sustainable growth.

Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Governance
- Lead corporate finance, compliance, reporting, and treasury functions
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, audit, and statutory compliance
- Act as a key advisor to the Managing Director and executive leadership team
- Build and maintain forward-looking cash flow models that protect working capital
- Engage with banks, insurers, and surety providers to strengthen funding lines
- Enhance financial dashboards and reporting for project managers and the executive team
- Drive improvements in scenario modelling and margin visibility across the portfolio
- Equip project teams with real-time insights to support agile decision-making
- Lead and mentor a technically strong Financial Controller
- Oversee Payroll Officer and HR Coordinator in head office operations
- Champion collaboration with site-based teams for project-level cost control
- Contribute to the strategic plan and help position the business for future growth
- Implement finance systems and tools that support scalability and project performance
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives across reporting and governance
- CA/CPA qualified with 10+ years' experience in construction, engineering, or asset-intensive environments
- Currently in a senior finance leadership role, ready to step into first-time CFO
- Demonstrated success in debt structuring, cashflow forecasting, and performance reporting
- Commercially sharp with strong project finance acumen
- Strong working knowledge of site operations, WorkSafe obligations, and blue-collar workforce dynamics
- Strategic thinker with hands-on capability
- High-energy leader with confident stakeholder communication skills
- Down-to-earth, team-oriented, and comfortable in both boardroom and site office
- Proactive problem-solver who leads by example
